SwapMatch collects only the information needed to operate the service: an anonymous device ID generated on your device, item listings you create, your device location (used only for proximity matching with nearby users), and optionally a phone number if you choose to share it with a match.
Your device ID and location are used solely to find potential item swaps near you. Your phone number, if provided, is shared only with users you explicitly match with and consent to contact.
SwapMatch does not use advertising trackers, analytics profiling, or third-party advertising networks.
We do not sell your information. Phone numbers are shared only in the contact-sharing flow, with your explicit action. No data is shared with third-party advertisers.
Item listings and location data are retained while you use the service. Settings and preferences are stored locally on your device via AsyncStorage.
Users may delete their data by uninstalling the application, which removes the local device identifier and stored preferences.
